In the Eye of Climate Change

The North Atlantic House cultural centre at Christianshavn, Copenhagen, will be one of the must-see venues for arctic activities during COP15. Connections between the North Atlantic and Denmark run deep here. This is marked symbolically by the building being shrouded in an iceberg installation facing the Port of Copenhagen. Inside, the centre will be teeming with life. Not one, but two exhibitions on climate change, Greenland and the Arctic will be the hub of activities here.

In the Eye of Climate Change
In the exhibition entitled In the Eye of Climate Change from 12th - 20th of december 2009, Greenland businesses, organisations and authorities join forces to paint a portrait of modern Greenland. Here, visitors to the exhibition will be told about new forms of energy, new industry, Arctic technology, research and the future prospects for tourism, oil extraction and agriculture. And there will be plenty of scope for experiencing Greenland’s culture at close quarters.

The North Atlantic House cultural centre is also the venue for the exhibition “Isen brænder” (“burning ice”) and Arctic Venue.
